| Cleaned my kitchen...FINALLY...
I seriously felt like I was fighting a war on mold/filth and my kitchen was the warzone...I should have taken a picture of the floor before I cleaned it...
The proper proceedures to cleaning a sorely-neglected, mold-infested kitchen:
First...the artillary: (1) three pairs of rubber gloves - you really just need two, but it's always good to have an extra, just in case (2) two big bottles of bleech floor cleaner - one regular, the other heavy duty (3) one scraper/sponge thingy (4) 5 regular sponges and 1 special scraper sponge (5) 1 role of paper towels (5) a strong stomach
Step 1: Pour the floor bleach directly over the weird-moldy stains and let it sit there for about 30 min. - go and youtube Korean shows while waiting...
Step 2: Use the scraper/sponge thingy to scrape the mold off the floor and then use about five sheets of paper towels to wipe up the gloppy mold jellow from the floor...all the while wearing gloves, of course...throw away the scraper/sponge thingy...'cause...ew...
Step 3: Use a clean sponge and more bleach to wipe down the floor.
Step 4: Use another clean sponge and water to rinse the bleach and any leftover mold juice.
Step 5: Repeat Step 3.
Step 6: Repeat Step 4.
Step 7: Repeat Step 3.
Step 8: Collapse on the couch and DL Korean songs for the rest of the night...

| So, 9 hours of sleep is WAY too much...and yet, 4 is too little...I just can't win...
Went to Mongkok today and got the coolest stuff...man, why's everything here gotta be so cool AND cheap? 'cause the cheap stuff adds up and end up being not cheap collectively...but still cheap individually...you know?
Why do I need Kiehl's Cucumber Moisturizer for hiking? Do you think I can be a trendy hiker?...Does it matter? I use Jergens...
Where's Yamapi?
Why aren't I asleep yet?
So many questions...so little answers..
This is my random entry of the day...
Good night!!
Good morning...
Catch-22 this, Yossarian...

| So, I was browsing through upcoming movie trailers at apple.com tonight and I came across a movie that really caught my eye. Death of a President is a "fictional" TV documentary broadcast(ed) in 2008 about the assassination of George Bush on October 19th, 2007....
...crazy, yo...
The movie itself is supposed to be presented in a "respectful and dignified manner" according to the official website, and I'm thinking it's probably going to be more about the ticking tension bomb of the American mob and not so much a negative commentary on Bush himself. It even might make people sympathize with him...'cause you know, even though he's not a very good President by any means, noone deserves to be assassinated. The movie is supposed to give us a better "understanding of George W. Bush's role in the world today, and his place in the wider scope of history."
Whatever...It's a movie about his death! CRAZY!!
I mean, it's one thing to have a movie about JFK's assassination, e.g. the new movie Bobby that's coming out later this year, but it's a completely different thing to have a movie about George W. Bush's! Mainly because, uh...he's still alive! I mean, seriously! How disturbing is a movie about one's own death? And the scary part is, it is completely feasible - completely possible, if not even probable! The tension is growing everyday in America, people are either getting really fed up with Bush or people are getting really fed up with the people who are against Bush - who knows what will happen on October 19th, 2007? The mob is "The scum that rises upmost, when the nation
boils" ~ John Dryden.
There's an exact date!! I bet Bush will never look at that date the same again. I would be so disturbed if I were him - a movie broadcasting my death before it even happens, like a morbid primetime premonition.
Browsing around movies, you realize there are a lot of movies about our current situation in Iraq and in America or a commentary about America itself and it's government. ...So Goes the Nation's about the craziness that happened during the 2004 campaign between the two parties and the pivotal role of Ohio. A funny one was the Conventioneers, a Romeo&Julietesque movie about a Republican and a Democtrat - Romeo's a Republican and Juliet's a Democrat, will these two politically star-crossed lovers ever find true compatible happiness?...hmmm...
I wonder if Bush will watch Death of a President. There are going to be interviews of people talking about how he was and shots of his funeral...crazy...

| Alright, from now on, short and simple. Got it? Got it.
Short and simple needs...BULLETS!
- Woke up before my alarm clock went off @ 6:17am in Taiwan.
- Went to the little street vendor around the corner to get some DELICIOUS Taiwanese breakfast (shiao-bing yao tiao and warm dou jiang...mmm...).
- Said bye to my nai nai and left on the bus @ 8am.
- Got on the plane and, believe you me, it was NICE!! The seats were larger than normal and had MUCH more leg room...
You might be able to see it...but there's TOTALLY an ottoman-like-thing beneathe my feet...RIDICULOUS comfy...
- Got back to HK around 3pm...E33 to Tuen Mun...@ Town Center rode K51...THE OTHER WAY...so instead of getting back on campus 15 minutes later, I got home 1 HOUR and 15 min. I wanted to cry. Seriously.
- Got home, rested, and went to have dinner at Andreas...mmmmm...so crazy how well these girls cook? Am I ashamed...a little...am I going to change any time soon and actually clean my kitchen?...probably not...talked and watched "White and Nerdy" Weird Al and "Ultimate Showdown"
- Came home...was going to watch My Tutor Friend, but realized the common room was occupied by students getting ready for HALLOWEEN!! WOOWOO!!
Short enough? Actually, I wanted to write more...but it's totally 5am here...so I will write tomorrow...probably...hopefully... | | |
| So, you guys can probably guess by now
that...ummm...yeah...I pretty much suck at the keeping up with diaries
business. I don't know if it's because I 'm too lazy or if I'm too
intimidated by the idea that people will be reading what I have to say and worrying
about living up to their expectations...or if it's a combination of both.
Either way, I really feel like I should have something to show for my
time in Hong Kong. Let me just tell you all that me not writing
everything is not saying that I haven't done anything, because my god,
everyday is an adventure and it's amazing! Seriously, everyday
there's something new to look forward to. Take the past few days, for
instance:
Thursday:
Nicole, Kerensa and I went to Mongkok (the craziest part of HK, hands
down!) to watch the movie "Silk." This was an amazing movie,
'cause not only did Taiwanese actors speak Japanese, but Japanese actors (i.e.
the older brother from Lunch Queen - thanks to Steven for pointing that out!)
spoke mandarin! So cool, ne? Anyways, the movie itself was really
good, the actors were amazing and the story was pretty cool, not cheesy horror
flick at all...except for this one RIDICULOUS part where the homicidal mama
ghost pulled herself out of a bowl of beef ramen soup to kill a guy...it was
like watching the Ring girl coming out of the tv...except it was a bowl of beef
ramen...but otherwise it was good! Here's a poster of it hanging from
Broadway Theaters in Mongkok:

Alright, guys...Xanga's being difficult...that or I just haven't used it for a while and they've changed some stuff up on me...I can't seem to size my photos right...so...I won't be finishing my post until later...sorry, I know how you have all been waiting with baited breath for my update...I will try to finish it laterish...
Things to still write about:
Friday - New Digital Camera and Andrea's birthday palooza!! Saturday - Tai O, yo!
